covid
Every time there’s a world pandemic there is usually a trend where people stay home and don’t go out because they are afraid to catch the virus that is going around. This was recently seen a few years ago when the new virus covid-19 was getting spread around the world. A lot of people including my family were isolated in our homes. This also happened 200 years ago when yellow fever first got introduced to our world. Well be talking about how this affected life and giving you details on what the covid-19 and yellow fever is.
Covid-19 is one of the deadliest viruses to ever exist in our world. Covid-19 is thought to be first introduced in january 10,2020. It began as a small wonder and turned into a giant tragedy. Covid-19 was hitting record numbers of 643 million total cases while also killing a whopping 6.63 million people. This new virus took the grave of the earth real quick as many people were forced to quarantine and isolate themselves in their homes. Many people weren't able to work due to the new laws. Everything was basically shut down for good. After half a year stores and businesses started to finally open. Tho with open business and people being able to go out more came a price. We were forced to wear a mask.
Yellow fever was one of the earliest diseases/viruses discovered. This sickness was spread not through people but through bugs. At the time of 1878 people didn’t know that, so they went to a more used technique. They started a trend of quarantine. People didn’t know that the sickness came from mosquitoes, instead they thought that it came from coughing and being with other people outside your household. The yellow fever was not in fact as deadly as covid 19. It still kills many up to a hundred thousand, but that number keeps going up every year.
In conclusion, both of this sickness and viruses killed people and made them terribly sick. Other than the amount of dead , the thing that they have in common is that people looked at quarantine to end and avoid getting worldwide sickness. This strategy will keep getting used for years to come. I hope that in my life span tho I dont have too because it's boring and it sucks.
