Talk about a time when you crossed a social boundary in conversation. When you crossed the boundary, were you too informal or formal? How could you have responded differently?

i was having a talk with a old math teacher of mine and i forgot i was talking to a teacher and said a bad word,she got mad and kicked me out i didn't really care but i could've responded way better and remember i was talking to a teacher.
