As promised - today we begin watching Hamilton!

Many of you still owe either the Federalist Papers (10 & 51) and/or Brutus. If you do, you should work on these quietly during the film.

We may or may not finish the entire movie - we’ll see how the week goes. :-)

Pay attention to the following themes:

-The causes of the American Revolution

-The treatment of immigrants and the function of wealth in Revolutionary America

• The question of slavery

-The development of factions

-Questions about America’s role in other countries after Independence

• Changes to the election of the President/Vice-President

-The impact of personal behavior/scandals on electability

-The role of women in society

It’s time to move on from Federalist 51 to Brutus Today!

Both the Federalist Papers and Brutus are due on Monday :-)

You should be working on Federalist 51 by now!!

This week you will dive into the Federalist Papers and their counter-argument, Brutus.

By week’s end you will have read and analyzed Federalist 10 and 51, as well as the Brutus rebuttal.

These tasks are on task dashboard.

On Monday and Tuesday we will begin class with discussion of the two Federalist Papers. You have until Thursday to complete the assigned questions. You may work together, but each student must submit their own answers in their own words.

At the end of the week you will individually read “Brutus” and submit the answers before class on Monday.

Today we will see how well your reading helped you with the concepts that would appear on a multiple choice test.

Please log in to AP Classroom on your College Board Site, and go into you AP US Government Class.

You should see an assignment - see me if you need help.

Please complete the quiz - you will receive your results once you complete the questions.

Once all are done we will move into groups and talk about how to complete quiz revisions.

Today we will be having a collaborative discussion about Frederick Douglass and the Declaration of Independence.

Where is yesterday’s work???

It is very important that you put in a full day’s work, even when their is a sub.

As we discussed, the plans are always here on the Course page for you to follow.

Please see yesterday’s instructions and immediately get to work.

Every day we fall behind is another topic we may not get to cover before the AP Exam. When only 1-2 students are behind, I will keep moving ahead and you will be responsible for catching up on your own.

When almost the entire class does not complete their work, we cannot move ahead.
